Casual dress: What that means is up to you

As folks prepare for the institute, the most common questions are these:
  1. What should I wear?
  2. What should I wear?
  3. What should I wear?
Here are the answers:
  1. Casual attire.
  2. What constitutes casual is up to you.
  3. Keep in mind that air conditioning allows us to survive the summer heat, and sometimes that can make spaces surprisingly chilly. If you tend to get cold, you may want to bring a light sweater.

  1. Looking forward to the much discussed "dry heat" of Arizona. In Kansas we have what could be called "wet heat" I suppose...or maybe humidity. Either way...it's nice to know we aren't expected to dress up for the institute.

  2. How does one pack a wide-brimmed hat without counting it as carry-on and without it morphing into a pancake inside a suitcase? Just wondering.... :)
